work from monday to friday,
tuition at night from tuesday to thursday.
dinners on monday and friday,
saturdays are tuition and slacking day.
sundays are housework and slacking day...

the beach will be my best hang out on weekends. heh.


It had been like this since the start of SIP, and i think it'll be the same for the rest of SIP... HAHA.

getaway from the stressful work

One of the staff at my workplace recommended me a very nice place to eat, located just behind the building.. It's King's Kopitiam.

The food there are damn delicious.. Food like Chicken Mushroom Hor Fun, Wanton Mee and stuff.. altho just simple food but they're damn delicious.

It's quite a quiet and peaceful place to eat and definitely a place to relax during lunchtime. So peaceful that I fell asleep..... zzz



I also found out that Velvet Dragon, the AH BENG club is right behind my office.. I think KJ can go... haha

when was the last time?

The last time i went to the library to actually look into the books and do research was......

i have no idea when too! I think it was in Sec 1 when I had to do a project on the Singapore's history, and that was back in 2001. XP

I couldn't find the formula as specified by a client to calculate the loss of profit of some building contract on the internet, wikipedia, Lawnet nor Lexis Nexis. I was $#@^&&*^*(.
Super frustrated. Can't believe that I can't find.. And then I dono why I somehow found that the formula could be found in a book which I couldn't find as an e-book online. Soooooooo........

The resourceful ME found out that the thick like a pile of shit book can be found in the Lee Kong Chian Library, which is the National Library of Singapore. So the hardworking ME stayed behind to helped my boss to type out and edit a plaintiff's submission and stayed till 7pm..

Again, the clever ME found a bus from my workplace that stops at Bugis, just a few bus stops away.. Went to Level 8, spent like an hour or so there and found out that my book is not on that level.. KNS. It was already half hour to the closure of the library and I quickly rushed to the right floor to find my book..

Luckily, the resourceful ME found the book! wooooooooooooot and the last 5 minute I dashed to the Photocopying Room to photocopy the relevant pages and was even chased by the indian, female security. (*_*;)

PHEW! i found my things that's damn urgent. needed by tmr. Now I know what's it feels like to race with against the time.. grrrrr

I believe that the calculations and estimations are wrong. I do not sleep for 12 hours. I do not eat for 3 hours. My bathing and toilet time does not add up to 1 hour a day. 14 days vacation does not mean that I'll take all. I usually do not take MCs. but Labour Day is a must! haha

I believe not only working makes one tired, there are other reasons too.

It's only the 3rd day at work and I'm starting to get bored and sick of the work. I think I don't need 3 months to determine if I wanna walk this path.. I have the answer now.. haha

Went to SubCt today, into the chambers, in front of a Settlement Judge and District Judge. Everything goes so fast. The argument, their brains. wooooot

Had dinner with Sheena and Winsor and I don't know why I laughed so much and so funnily and said so much crap. Probably due to my tiredness. HAHA! im damn tired from ytd's bbq.

3rd day at work for SIP

i am handling a case which i had never learnt in school, no precendents and need to read a lotta stuff. damn, i feel like im having exams everyday! studying, looking up for the law and searching for cases. Shitted.. HAHA

There's a lot other stuff to do also.

Going to court in a while's time.. Just a 5 minutes walk from my workplace... :/

I finally caught 881 and it is indeed a great production of Roystan Tan. Although there were some ridiculously funny scenes such as the durian bras shooting lasers, the jokes are really funny. The ending was really sad where the small papaya of the Papaya Sisters died of cancer as her hair fell slowly as time passes by. Although she knew she was gonna die some day, she didn't give up pursuing her dreams as a Getai singer and fought to the very end.

This is a truly good spirit that we should instill. Some people who are alive have a lot of time and and do not know how to cherish it and spend their life lazing around doing nothing. So now it's time to cherish every moment and people around you!

There's also a part where the small papaya asked her aunt, who took care of her after her parents passed away of similar disease, why she is always so jovial. I love her reply.

"If the Sun is not bright, then how does it brighten the moon and the stars?"

If I am unhappy, how do I let the people around me happy?

All in all it was a really funny yet touching show that doesn't lose to any other musical movies in the industry.

Singhto Vickie is going to start work later... which is 1 day earlier than the expected date to start SIP. Oh! ok tmr I can sleep till 10am, Then if the weather permits I shall swim, go for lunch and then go for tuitions.... LOL.. another day more to SIP start! Or if it's raining then I can sleep till 1pm and then go for lunch...............................

HAHA!!

AND i saw Pin Wen on Hey! Gorgeous.. He was in the top 3 for the males in Temasek Poly. Although he didn't get into the finals (Just lost by 2 points!!), I must say that his appearance on tv brought a lot of joy to the audience (somebody experienced alr..) and that his performance of playing the electric piano on stage is also very commendable! Good job Pin Wen!!

If you believe in karma
It is not about blaming your karma, but accepting your karma and changing it.

The fault always lies in yourself
You cannot always blame others for the mistakes you make or for every mishap that happened. Everything happens for a reason; be it your karma, destiny or fate. If something wrong happens, don't start blaming others. Think of what you had done wrong. Accept and change yourself for you cannot change others. Therefore a change in yourself could change the situation.

Take this instance that your boss always picks out the mistakes from your assignments. Some might be thinking, "That boss has a nasty character. Why does he always pick on me?". The boss may really have a nasty character, but what can you do? You cannot change him, so you can only change yourself.

Why not look at it in another perspective? "I haven't given my full attention to that assignment." Accept the mistakes made and improve!

You can only let the particles settle down or dissolve in you.

In conclusion, we should not just blame everything on your karma, fate or destiny. We should accept them and change the bad points. Of course, there are good ones too!

those inclined moving walkways

Remember everytime u go to those 2 storeys supermarket like Carrefour, Giant or NTUC, you will see those inclined moving walkways (ie walkways that move in an upward or downward direction) ?

Ok Sheena, we were talking abt this the other time when we went to Giant supermart.. so here it is...

How do the trolleys (no matter how heavy it they are) stay on the inclined moving walkways without slipping downwards?

I chanced upon wikipedia and managed to find out!

The carts have either a brake that is automatically applied when the cart handle is released, strong magnets in the wheels to stay adhered to the floor, or specially designed wheels that secure the cart within the grooves of the ramp, so that wheeled items travel alongside the riders and do not slip away.

So we're not saying that there's no possibility that the walkways and wheels are made of metals that have such great magnetic force that enable them to attract each other and ensure that the trolleys of whatever weight are safely secured as we are moving upwards or downwards.

BUT, we have tested the wheels and walkways with something magnetic and proven that they are not of magnetic material, therefore we can conclude that the trolleys have specially designed wheels that secure them within the grooves of the ramp OR that there is a brake automatically applied when the trolleys are released! ;)

AND i just discovered that if the moving walkways move at a speed of 12km/h, many people would fall off! Please imagine people falling off the walkways... hahahahaha

After watching Gene Kelly's solo of "Singin' in the Rain" on Youtube, I've been searching high and low for the show.. i finally found the vcd in a shop call TS Group.

This is a time for celebration!!! i shall enjoy my Ruffles with milk while watching the show tmr. this is a 1952 film and my idol, Gene Kelly, who is one if the lead actor, is not alive anymore. :(

i can only watch him on Youtube.
