shit, i've just become another fan.

James McAvoy

Let the movie posters tell you why i love him.

Wanted: From nobody to somebody. Cool macho assassinator who follows the code. Ok yh you must train your body like his. You know you're tall enough for that... I thought the movie would just be some lame action movie, but surprisingly, it's got a great plot, actions, visual and sound effects. MUST WATCH!

Penelope: Gambler who was able to revert back to his normal life after he met this pig-nosed girl. True love, but he can't help her to break her curse in order to help turn her pig nose back to a normal nose. Sad. A fairytale, but please watch. I think Deb likes to watch this kind. Like I do. Cos he's cute. HAHA

The Chronicles of Narnia - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe: Not a big character in there. But still noticeable. Legs of a goat, the upper body of a man, curly hair, and two little horns on his head. The first Narnian that Lucy (in the movie) sees. CUTE! MUST WATCH! (not because there's him, but because the movie is really nice).

Atonement: Another great show. I really love this show. I love Keira Knightley, I love James McAvoy. It's enough reason for one to watch it. I think I've talked about this movie some time ago... Tagline: You can only imagine the truth. It is about a man being sent away to war because of a little girl who imagines nothing but the truth. (that's what she imagines). So the couple who really loves each other were far away and can't be reunited. And then the girl later on realises that she was wrong and tries to seek atonement. That's why the movie is called Atonement. I can't say much or I'll be a spoiler, so please watch it. MUST WATCH!

The Last King of Scotland - I haven't watched it yet, but I will. It seems nice :D

Becoming Jane - Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy. I haven't watched this too, but I will :D

That's all folks.

Taiwan - Day 10 & 11 (The End)

Alright, I better finish this before my Bintan trip. HAHAHA

It's our last day in Ximending and also our last day in Taiwan.
I'm getting a little lazy to blog about it.. haha i guess it's too many days, too many stuff.. So look at the pictures with the captions.

damn, i hate the shitty pain.. i screamed like hell.

After massage, we took a train to Taipei 101, the famous Taipei skyscraper. Didn't enter it tho.. Sucks, now i so regret.

Returned to Ximending and went for midnight ktv session. The ktv there is damn cool, there are various level of ktv and there's even buffet. I.e. Unlimited fries, buns, desserts and DRINKS! (Kbox sells like $8 per drink k?)

Sang till late night and the next morning we packed all our stuff and headed to the airport. We're coming back home! Look at the amount of stuff we have!

Time really flies, we thought it's gonna be really long (11 days), but it just went by so fast. Sucks. I wanna go there again. Ok but first go elsewhere to tour first. :D

boys like girls - thunder

Today is a winding road
Thats taking me to places that I didnt want to go, whoa
Today in the blink of an eye
Im holding on to something and I do not know why I tried

I tried to read between the lines
I tried to look in your eyes
I want a simple explanation; what Im feeling inside
I gotta find a way out
Maybe theres a way out

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know youre unlike any other?
Youll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I dont wanna ever love another
Youll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

Today is a winding road
Tell me where to start and tell me something I dont know, whoa
Today Im on my own
I cant move a muscle and I cant pick up the phone, I dont know

And now I'm itching for the tall grass
And longing for the breeze
I need to step outside, just to see if I can breathe
I gotta find a way out
Maybe theres a way out

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know youre unlike any other?
Youll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I dont wanna ever love another
Youll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

Yeah Im walking on a tightrope
I'm wrapped up in vines
I think Ill make it out but you just gotta give me time
Strike me down with lightning
Let me feel you in my veins
I wanna let you know how much I feel your pain

Today is a winding road
Thats taking me to places that I didnt want to go, whoa

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know youre unlike any other?
Youll always be my thunder, and I said
Your eyes are the brightest of all the colors
I dont wanna ever love another
Youll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
And bring on the thunder

Your voice was the soundtrack of my summer
Do you know youre unlike any other?
Youll always be my thunder
So bring on the rain
Oh baby bring on the pain
And listen to the thunder

sakae sushi

Broddy, while you're working and touring Europe, mommy decided to give me a good treat. hehe. I got to eat Sakae Sushi! YAY
Altho i've eaten there like 1376892714901 number of times, i'm still happy. It's once in a blue moon (2 Full Moons in a month, which occurs like 41 times in a century) that mommy treats good food. I really appreciate it.

And I suddenly feel that the Chinese calendar makes more sense to me (based on the shape of the moon).

Then i applied for Weapons Systems Officer (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) - UAV at the RSAF (Republic of Singapore Air Force). Someone told me "R" stands for "Royal"... :
For which mommy still doesnt know cos I didn't tell her and I don't know if I would get in.

I haven't told her a lotta things. I usually like to confirm my stuff before telling her, because I know that even if she disallows me or doesn't like it, I'm still gonna do it. It's just me...

spoilt

picky eater
i just hate to have meat with bones in it.
either you buy and extract the bones for me, or you save the trouble and buy boneless meat.
i just hate to have seafood esp fishprawnssotongs and whatnots
i'd rather not eat or go vegetarian or just eat fruits.
say that im spoilt or picky, if you think i care then go on saying..
if i cared then i wouldn't be picky at this age.
and if you keep forcing me to eat,
you're dead!

paintball SPNS Leg 2 08
winsor's team got a SILVER after having so many rounds of game.
some games were damn fast, lasting less than 1 min, while lasts some longer.
damn exciting.
shit i feel like shooting some ppl too!

winsor, i helped u polish your medal with photoshop. LOL

hdd
my harddiskdrive just gave up on me and i just sent it for a eightydollar repair and retrieval of data at simlim.
nothing matters but all the photos.
a photo says a thousand words, so i have more than a billion words in there.

Combat
went for my free trial session of Combat (boxercise) at True Yoga with Shih Ying aka Wine wbka (will be known as) Katie and Deb.
Full of drive, speed and anger and it's just sucha good way to let loose and let out your emotions.
It's equivalent to running to the beach and shout out to the sea.
Just that Combat is filled with exercise, routine, instructor, loud music, fast paced, kicks, "HA!", dock and clenched fist.
So do not pick a fight with me or you'll be dead!
If I am angry I'll throw anything and everything including fists but myself at the person.
ok i do not know why i'm so full of angst now.
i need exercise altho i feel the ache all over my body.
and it's because i'm aching that i feel the need to exercise.

Zohan
went to watch You Don't Mess With The Zohan with yh yesterday.
I must say that I am totally engaged in the movie and you'll laugh till your back comes outta your sit.

Alright enough said, I'm so bored at home. I may need a 2-week temporary job aft mid july

Nicotine vs Brain

By Streeter Seidell of CollegeHumor.com:

Brain: These are bad for me.

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: They’re polluting my body.

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: The simple fact is that I can live without them.

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: I don’t need …

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: Yeah, but …

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: I…

Nicotine: Shut up.

Brain: Fine!

smokes cigarette

Brain: There. Now I’ll just stop and …

Nicotine: Shut up.

pulau ubin

I finally went to pulau ubin with yh to cycle..

So full of zest initially, I used my full force to cycle uphill and went downhill so happily until we went the wrong way and had to cycle back the path. Then I began pushing my bicycle uphill and happily going downhill a couple of times and finally found our beach! BUT the beach was less than 100m long. sadded :(

Life is full of uphills and downhills.

Going uphill is such a tedious process, but if you do not reach the top, you do not get the satisfaction. If you stop halfway, you'll be back to the dot. That's equivalent to wasting your energy. So just give it your all and persevere to the top and enjoy the fruits of your labour.

Going downhill may not be as bad as you think. The speed gradually increases and then slows down and you're back to your normal life. For e.g. resignation from a job, you knew you'll be resigning, then you resign and you're back to your normal life.

I enjoy my cycle on a plain road with just a little ups and downs.
(if you wanna hear the taurean language - I enjoy a peaceful life and rotting.)

Pulau Ubin is full of dogs, I finally saw 2 cats before I returned.

At the end of the road, you may find what you wanted, but not what you had expected.

elevator

in a normal case, a guy's nose would've bled.
how blissful it is to have a hot babe sharing a same lift with you (i mean in a guy's case), moreover a new one on every storey.
in the case of Singapore, according to the population, it should be aunties entering on every floor.
:/

i just like timbaland.

at a loss

Apple had lost even before a battle started.
If ever Apple was in the battle, Apple was ignorant.
Apple has been doing its best to avoid battles, but it seems that they're inevitable.
What can Apple do, but to lose all it can.
Other than Apple's willingness to lose and its loss, what else would you like from it?

maybe it's just your imagination.

Apple's only hope is that the battle is for a just cause and seeks for some faith. It is concerned that the people will not get hurt in the battle.

A Little Pain

I just wanna share it.

The song is from a famous Japanese Movie 'Nana', sung by Olivia
It's about how a person would wait for its lover (be it a changed person or literally away), even if its painful, it's worth it.

Romaji:

Travel to the moon
Kimi wa nemuri yume wo toku
Dare mo inai, hoshi no hikari
Ayatsurinagara

Tsuyoku naru tame
Wasureta egao
Kitto futari nara torimodosu

* Kizuite
I'm here waiting for you
Ima to wa chigau mirai ga atte mo
I'm here waiting for you
Sakebi tsuzukete
Kitto kokoro wa
Tsunagu ito wo tagutteru
Ano koro no watashi
Me wo samasu you ni
No need to cry

Travel in silence
Te wo nobaseba fureru no ni

(Feel something, feel nothing
Listen closely, listen closely)
Wide open ears

In the constant moment

Translation:

Travel to the moon
You're asleep, as you work out your dreams
There's no one here
While the light of the stars toys with me

In order to become strong
I have to remember how to smile
If we're together, I can do it

* Realize that...
I'm here waiting for you
Even if the future is different from now
I'm here waiting for you
I keep on shouting
I'm sure all I have to do
Is pull in the thread that connects our hearts
So the person I was back then
Would open her eyes
No need to cry

Travel in silence
I can reach you if I stretch out my hands
The only memory I have of you
Is so far away

I can hear your voice
If I close my eyes
Even a little pain
Would be nice

Look at me
I'm here waiting for you
Even if you get lost, blown away by the wind
I'm here waiting for you
I look up at the sky
I was protecting my heart
With outstretched hands
Until the person you were back then
Looked back
No need to cry

(Feel something, feel nothing
Listen closely, listen closely)
Wide open ears
Disarm the dream tickler
In the constant moment
(You will find me where it's quiet
Listen closely, listen closely)
Let the blood flow
Through all the spaces
Of the universe

Taiwan - Day 9

Another day in Ximending...

Haircut
Skipped breakfast, cut my hair with 2 other girls.
Went to Crazy Cut and their service was like Jean Yip but only 2/3 of the price.
The salon has got 4 stories and we were separated to different stories...
The hairstylist was very gentle to my hair, unlike the Malaysians in Jean Yip. no offence, but it's a fact.

Modern Toilet Restaurant
So after our haircut, we went for our brunch at the Modern Toilet Restaurant as seen on TV!
I was still hoping that I could dine in the scary ghostly restaurant with the service staffs all dressed up as all sorts of ghosts and vampires to scare and serve people. I saw it on TV, but I have no idea where it is located (ok i don't even rmb if it is in Taiwan :/). If there's ever such a chance, I wanna dine there! haha

Back to the Modern Toilet Restaurant.

Joan was discovered shitting at the entrance of the restaurant.
Sam was happily squatting on the toilet bowl sit, posing for the cam,
and even took 2 shits to pose as his protruding chests.. :/

I had Chicken Cordon Bleu. I love Chicken Cordon Bleu!
It's chicken with cheese and ham stuffed in it. yummmy~

Even the desserts look like shit.

When I went to the toilet, I was very confused...Caught a tall beautiful tree.

We spent almost 2 hours travelling to a place to purchase their local delicacy (pineapple biscuits and stuff) and found out that our hotel has an order form that includes delivery :/

Shilin Night Market. again.
Soon, the sky turned dark. We didn't do much that day. Shilin Night Market is very big and we wanted to shop there again... So we returned and had fried oysters. people who know me should know that I am anti-seafood-consumption, so i only ate the flour and egg, but it was good enough to tell you that it is good! There are many stalls that sell fried oysters, just try your luck if you ever go there.

Joan and I returned to Ximending first after shopping and my stomach just wanted me to eat donuts again.. haaha

Things I bought so far...

Taiwan - Day 8

It is yet another day in Taiwan and the time is flying really fast. It's the 8th day!!!!

Breakfast at Ximending
I skipped the breakfast this time, needed to get more sleep - The problem with spending too many days in another country, you just want to sleep more and it feels as though you live there already.
So the only thing I wanted for breakfast - Mister Donut.
I ate the Cinnamon Roll and it really looks like Cinnamoroll's tail.

Why is Cinnamoroll called Cinnamoroll?
Because "his tail was plump and curled up just like a cinnamon roll, she decided to call him Cinnamoroll".
Cinnamoroll even has got a movie now. OMG I MUST WATCH IT SOMEHOW! HAHHA

I don't know how the hell DBSK can get related to Cinnamoroll. :/
ok i'm going out of topic.
Breakfast = Donut + Ah Zong Mian Xian (oyster mee sua)
YUMMY!

Long Shan Si
Then the 7 of us travelled to Long Shan Si by MRT.
Only XN, Joan and I prayed in the temple, the rest just waited for us.
I've heard that the temple is very famous and stuff, so we went to visit and got some amulets for some close friends and family :)

Wu Fen Pu
Next, we took a train to Yong Chun station where there's Wu Fen Pu - A place where they sell wholesale clothes.

Before we shopped, we went to eat this palatable 鲁肉饭. It is one of Taiwan's delicacy :D

As I've mentioned, Wu Fen Pu is a place where they sell wholesale clothes, i.e. the more you purchase, the cheaper they sell you. By right it should be cheaper than other places (or that's what I thought), but it seems that they are still rather costly, but it might be due to the fact that I don't buy in bulk. Most of the sellers do not let you try on the clothes, and they don't really entertain bargaining as compared to other places. In other places you can bargain until like shit.

The guys were bored and returned or went elsewhere. Leaving the 4 girls there to shop. The shops there are similar to Bugis Village, but so many times larger than it. We've been shopping for so many days at so many places already, and we're getting a little tired, sick of seeing all the similar items and walking around. So we wanted to return to the hotel already.

Then came a downpour.
Nobody except XN has an umbrella :/

After we returned to the hotel, I packed my stuff in the BIG PLASTIC BAG I bought in Taiwan as seen above (Cinnamoroll!!).

huge + gigantic = HUGANTIC

Taiwan - Day 7

We moved from Danshui, the cool beach, to the city - Ximending

Carrying all our luggages again, this time with more things (look at Joan, she's got an extra Meiji bag and Xiang Ni's got her additional bag). So we carried all the bulky and heavy stuff and hopped onto a bus and then a train to Ximending. The train was crowded, please. Everyone was looking at us.

Rainbow Hotel
We arrived at our final hotel which is in Ximending.
It was rather spacious, I would say. The 4 girls shared a room while the 3 boys had to share a King/Queen-sized bed. Yong Min ended up sleeping with sleeping bag on the floor :/

In the meanwhile, look at the 2 pictures below and you will see what kept us laughing. They've done their best.

The slipper will slide.

Yeah, so after much laughter, we went out to hunt for fooooood in Ximending.

and then, directly opposite the shop...

Shilin Night Market
After our satisfying lunch, we headed to Shilin Night Market. It doesn't just open at night, just that when it's in the night, the illegal stalls will be set up on the stretch of road in Shilin Night Market. And the illegal I am talking about is not the sale of pirated Cds, VCDs or what shit, but that the stalls have no license to run their stalls there. But the things they sell are really cheap and nice.
The places there are big and different people wants to shop for different things, hence we usually split into 2 groups - Guys and Girls. So this is how we communicate...

Sometimes the guys just suddenly speak into it and the people in the shop will look at us. Sometimes I don't hear any replies and I'll sing into it.
Sometimes we're just too far apart and there's no reception.
Sometimes the battery runs low :/

This is when the illegal stalls are set up in the road between the shops, then they suddenly disappear cause the police comes. So the police appears and disappears and the illegal stalls hides in a place and then they appear again and again and again and..... haha it's rather funny to see the scene.

It's not only about shopping in the night market, it's about fooood too! Shilin is famous for its HUGE fried chicken, it really is HUGE, uncut and with bones as compared to what Singapore's Shilin shop is selling.

Then they have the HUGE and delicious sausage too! Of course they don't sell the WHOLE sausage to the customers, they cut a portion of it and sell.

Shop, eat and what else?
Pets for sale!!! They have a lotta pet shops in a corner of the night market. The baby huskies look so cute :D
There's even an arcade and a bowling alley in Shilin.

spooky corner~
(it's just an empty space for rent)

Look what we've got...

It's 11+ and we're catching the last train back to Ximending to have a good night's sleep zzzzzZZzzz
